Here at The Powder Guy, we strive to always quote reasonable prices for all work needing done. Please Keep in mind that no two jobs are the same. There are differences in coating types And thicknesses that make the stripping process differ from job to job. In order to get a good foundation for powder coat to stick the previous coating must be stripped and the item must be sandblasted. Sandblasting creates a textured substrate to engace the adhesion of the powder. Minimizing the risk of chipping. With these factors in play it is hard to precisely quote a powdercoating job. With that being said we do our best to ask these questions upfront to give you the best quote possible.
For wheels the coating can range in price. Prices depend on the size or the wheel, the coating that is currently on the wheel and the condition of the wheel. Some coatings take more time and effort to strip. A wheel in good condition is easier to get a good coating to stick whereas a wheel in rougher condition might need extra attention and time. Also a few things to take into consideration is the color needed and how many coats are wanted or needed. Rougher wheels must have a primer. Some powders need a base coat and some require a clear top coat. Keeping that in mind if you have some wheels you want coated please shoot us a message and we can get an estimate on what it would cost.
Smaller parts are also welcomed at The Powder Guy. These parts are a little more forgiving due mostly to not having tough to reach places. This makes them easier to strip and coat. These prices are typically going to start around the $30 range and go up from there. Keep in mind that color, condition, current coating and amount of coats it might take is a factor also. Some powders require a base coat and some require a top coat to activate the color. If you have a smaller part you would like coated please let us know. We would be glad to assist you and give you an estimate.
